Pre-Fit Inspection
Internal frame, springs, foam layers, and hardware pockets are checked before fabric application.
No foreign objects, loose joints, sharp edges, exposed fasteners, or misplaced support parts.
Padding Alignment
Dacron, batting, or comfort wrap is positioned evenly over foam edges and contact zones.
Softens hard points, protects upholstery fabric, and prevents abrasion from frame or foam edges.
Fabric Orientation & Matching
Fabric grain, nap direction, stripe direction, and pattern placement are aligned across visible panels.
Cushions, arms, backs, and side panels should read as one continuous upholstery set.
Controlled Tensioning
Fabric is pulled with even tension at all four corners and around curved areas.
No skewing, over-stretching, loose waves, hard wrinkle lines, or twisted surface direction.
Corner & Seam Shaping
Corners are rounded by hand, seams are centered, piping is straight, and paired panels stay symmetrical.
Left and right sides should match visually, especially on arms, backs, cushions, and front rails.
Staple & Edge Control
Bottom fabric and hidden returns are pulled tight and fixed with even staple spacing.
Hidden edges stay clean and flat, with no loose fabric, sharp staple points, or exposed raw returns.
Note: Upholstery approval depends on frame shape, foam build, fabric direction, seam placement, tension control, and the final visible silhouette.
Final Assembly & Calibration

Component Assembly
Legs, bases, connectors, glides, motion hardware, and removable modules are installed after upholstery is complete.
Holes align cleanly; no forced assembly, stripped screws, twisted brackets, or uneven support points.
Leveling & Alignment
The finished piece is checked for stable floor contact, straight sight lines, matched height, and left/right symmetry.
No rocking, leaning, uneven arm height, tilted back profile, or visibly off-center seating line.
Gap Calibration
Visible gaps between cushions, arms, panels, drawers, doors, or modular sections are adjusted to stay even.
Gaps should look intentional, not crowded, forced, uneven, or inconsistent from left to right.
Seat-Feel Calibration
Cushion crown, back support, arm softness, and rebound are checked by position.
The full seating area should feel balanced, with no collapsed zone, hard spot, or uneven support transition.
Function Testing
Motion seats, recliners, drawers, doors, slides, hinges, and removable connectors are cycled before approval.
Movement should be smooth, quiet, secure, and repeatable, with no scraping, blocking, rebound, or looseness.
Final Surface Review
Fabric is smoothed, seams are checked, and visible wood, metal, and upholstery surfaces are wiped clean.
No glue residue, loose thread, lint buildup, production dust, surface marks, or exposed unfinished returns.
Protection & Packaging
Contact points, legs, corners, fabric surfaces, and finished wood or metal areas are protected before packing.
Protection is placed to prevent compression, rubbing, transit abrasion, corner impact, and finish damage.
Note: Final approval should match the product category, upholstery type, motion function, floor-contact design, and the intended residential use case.
